Welcome To The Solution To All Problems

Welcome To The Solution To All Problems - Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

This was the sign you would see when you arrived to the home of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Rishikesh, India in the 1960's..the historic place where the Beatles learned to meditate alongside my teacher Thom Knoles, when the Yoga and Meditation movement rapidly became popular around the world.

Fast forward to today, when we think of Meditation, it is commonly regarded as a "nice thing" that gives a pleasant feeling..like taking a nice walk in nature, or taking a bath.

Something that's good to add your daily routine - like the generic idea that you should eat more green vegetables.

While it is true that Meditation can feel nice (much better than feeling like torture), this type of thinking is missing the true power and effect of correct Meditation.

This is like looking at the tip of the iceberg, missing the full extent of what is actually happening underneath the surface.

With our "instant" culture that has an average attention span of 2 seconds..it is understandable why this happens.

Then, there are the fortunate minority that feel the charm to dig a little deeper...and find what is hidden in plain sight.

Since you are still reading this..you are likely one of them.

So what is the true potential of Meditation? We discover this by asking one simple question..

Where does this ancient practice of (Vedic) Meditation come from?

It was developed in a tradition of knowledge that started more than 5,000 years ago..in the geography we now call India.

Who developed it?

Enlightened Masters who have realized a state of Being, where truly there are no longer any problems.

You might think of Buddha when you hear of Enlightenment..and indeed he is one of those many masters. Many who came before him, and many who came after him.

Mind you, we are not talking about "Buddhism" as a religion or belief system here.

Think back to a moment or period in life where you felt the most inspired, full of love, creative and energetic - now imagine being able to experience that state 24/7, regardless of what happens in your day to day life of family, work, politics etc.

After realizing how to live in this state, the Masters have created a system that enables anyone to follow, and achieve the same state of Being.

The idea is - this is not some outlandish state that one in a billion is meant to experience. It is our birth right - our natural state of Being that we can all return to.

Since those ancient times, this knowledge has been refined over thousands of years. Hundreds of great Masters, who wrote hundreds and thousands of books, all brought to this present day through an unbroken lineage of teachers..all the way until Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who taught my teacher Thom Knoles.

And Vedic Meditation is the modern version of these teachings.

It allows anyone and everyone who learns it correctly and practices every day, to experience in their consciousness this state of Being - the state where there are no problems.

In this state - whatever we were worried about, perhaps so worried we lost sleep over it the night before, is easily forgotten.

Instead, a feeling of peace and expansiveness takes over.

Not by using the thinking mind to solve the problem, not by figuring things out, or by forcing our mind to quiet down.

By virtue of effortlessness, easeful thinking of an ancient Mantra, our mind naturally settles and quiets down.

The Solution to All Problems

So what is the solution to all problems that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was talking about?

He wasn't talking about an easy pill you can swallow..or a mathematical equation you solve. He was talking about a State of Consciousness you experience.

A State of Consciousness that we all have access to.

The first step to building our own invincibility and experiencing first hand the solution to all problems, is to have a correct understanding of what problems are.

Let's dive into that.

Whatever problem you think you are having - you are correct.

Meaning, problems are found in our mind.

They are a result of our limited understanding of the world around us and our role in it.

The solution to the problem is ALWAYS one of two things:

  1. We find that there is an action to be taken, which then turns the problem into a non-problem.
  2. Or we find a better way of viewing the world, where we simply realize the problem is not actually a problem. Nothing to do but accept the situation as it is and adjust our thinking. This is also an "action" we perform of changing our perspective.

When we are established in Being (through the daily practice of Vedic Meditation), we find this 2 step process very easy and natural.

We either think of something to do that solves the problem, or we realize there is actually nothing to be done and we can just accept things as they are.

By gaining more knowledge about how our human mind works, as well as the nature of the world around us, and Being present..all problems big and small are vanquished with great ease.

As Einstein said "“We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them”.

Without the ability to transcend thought itself, we are stuck in the land of problems - where our intellectual mind can tie incredible knots that can't be solved by the same level of mind that created them.

This is available to all who choose to open themselves up to learn Vedic Meditation and knowledge.

So with that, I'd like to follow the Master of my Master - Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and invite you to find The Solution To All Problems.

Welcome my friend.
